SEE IT, HEAR IT, TOUCH IT

Bright colors, voice announcements and a TFT touch screen is what makes the Graupner mz-18 one of the most versatile radios on the market, and at a price that can't be beat! Experience a new level of connection between you and your model with 9 channels and built-in real-time voice telemetry. Colorful menus and displays make usability easy to navigate through the menus and setup options with the touch of your finger or a stylus. Traditional navigation keys provide an old-school experience if you prefer to push physical buttons.

The aluminum quad bearing 4096 resolution gimbals were machined with high-precision and are adjustable for smooth and accurate flight control. Safe and worry-free flights are achieved with our HoTT (Hopping Telemetry Transmission) technology by hopping over 75 2.4 GHz channels to secure the most reliable, interference-free operating channel.

VOICE and VISUAL TELEMETRY

Real-time telemetry is integrated in all our HoTT radio systems. The mz-18 does not require any additional hardware for functions such as signal quality, temperature, or receiver voltage. The included 12-channel and 6-channel receivers provide telemetry functions that can be configured to notify you regarding any system changes. Graupner provides a wide selection of telemetry ESCs, modules and sensors that can immediately connect directly to your HoTT receivers without the need for external hub boxes or complex wiring. Our third-party partners provide additional telemetry products that work seamlessly with your mz-18 HoTT radio.

Telemetry functions and notifications can be easily assigned to switches to provide information about battery voltage, battery capacity, altitude, flight direction, speed, etc. This is integral in increasing your situational awareness and adding extra flight safety. The real-time, bi-directional HoTT transmission protocol will constantly monitor system health and notify you of any changes to the system. No more surprise situations such as sudden battery depletion or accidentally flying out-of-range! During flight, important data is logged on the SD memory card which can be analyzed to improve your system's reliability and performance.

WIRELESS SETUP

Need to reverse your motor direction, setup your flight controller or program receiver settings? The mz-18 radio can easily setup, program, and change all Graupner HoTT products remotely. No need for cables, computers or programming boxes! Each HoTT device contains a website-like user interface allowing your mz-18 radio functions as a browser to access the HoTT device allowing you to make on-the-spot changes at the field and even in the air during flight!

INTEROPERABILITY

It is important to all of us at Graupner that you make good use of your investment in our products. All our HoTT products (receivers, flight stabilization systems, ESCs, multirotor flight controllers, flybarless controllers, etc.) are designed to be compatible with one another regardless of the transmitter being used. This unified technology standard will ensure the same operation and user experience across all devices, making our products future-proof for new developments.

Our wide selection of HoTT flight controllers for flybarless helicopters, airplanes and multirotors will further enhance the usability of your mz-18, providing endless opportunities to discover all the radio has to offer.

Our Wireless Trainer Link allows the mz-18 radio to be used with any other Graupner HoTT radio in Student/Teacher Mode, allowing everyone to learn or teach about the exciting experiences this hobby has to offer.

Great for a full house Glider
I got me an e-glider with v-ail and flaps. So needed to get me a radio with glider features. Also needed something with at least 7 channels (2 flaps, 2 Ailerons, Elev, Rudder and throttle) Did my homework and decided to get me the MZ-18. This is actually my first Programmable radio I purchase. I managed to program my first glider with minor issues. Like every new sophisticated electronic equipment you will have a learning curve. Here was my first experience: My first programming was a DG-1000 glider with Rudder, elev, ailerons and throttle. I used the GR-12L with this one. The basic things were self explanatory with the touch screen. Plane name, wing/tail type, Pairing the rs, reversing some channels dual rate and expo. I was using the 6 channel receiver and my glider had 2 Aileron configuration so I required to use channels 2 and 5. Here is the best part. I got me a vario and that also goes in channel 5. This was a simple fix for me. I went to the Out.Swap and switched TX 5 to OUT 6 and TX 6 to OUT 5 and the radio did the rest. Now I get telemetry readings from my vario and have a fully functional ailerons. I created 2 Q.Links one named REFLEX assigned to SW1 (Up POS) and another named CAMBER assigned to SW1 (Down POS) then did my settings (+20 for Reflex and -20 for Camber) and done deal I'll do the elevator mixing after I do some test flying to see how it responses. On my Second Glider (A full House Glider) Did everything just pressing the icons on the screen. Glider with wing type (2 AIL,2FLAPS) and Electric motor. SO went and did Function by function and did all my settings. (AIle DIff, Camber, even Butterfly). For the Telemetry I left everything on default. I'll have to do a little more research on that. But so far I love this radio. and I'm just starting to learn how to use it. haven't tried any mixing yet. I'm just going one step at a time. One more thing is It feels good on your hand, and it looks cool too.

WAITING FOR FLYING SEASON
THIS IS MY 1ST BIG RADIO, I'VE ONLY FLOWN 2 AND 3 CHANNEL PLANES BEFORE. THIS SHOULD PROVIDE ENOUGH ROOM TO GROW. HAVE ABOUT A MONTH OF WAITING BEFORE FLYING CAN START DUE TO WEATHER AND CLASSES. I DO WISH THERE WHERE SOME INSTRUCTIONAL VIDEOS FOR THE NON GERMAN SPEAKERS. MAYBE FLITE TEST COULD DO A FEW SHORT VIDEOS. SHIPPING WAS VERY FAST!

AMAZING QUALITY FEEL AND RESPONSE WHEN I'M FLYING THE VERSACOPTER V2. I CAN NOT WAIT TO REALLY LEARN HOW TO USE THIS. MAY I SUGGEST MAYBE LINKS TO SOME REAL BREAK DOWN ON HOW TO USE IT EVEN TO OTHER YOUTUBERS?

None
Over the last six months I have downloaded all the available owners manuals for the major radios and tried to make sense of the instructions on how to program the radio for the various setups. Some things I've learned. 1. They all are very short in describing anything. If your a novice then your in for some trouble with all of them. 2. Very few pages were in English. Common now my first radio was a Futaba many years ago and it's manual was all English. Not any more. 3. There are a lot of cryptic words used in transmitter termonology none of the other manufactures except Graupner took the time to explain them. The reasons I chose Graupner. First if you watch YouTube much you see the Germans spend a lot of time flying many expensive and great airplanes well most of the use Graupner for a reason. 2. The owners manual is all English I think 80 pages in color off the PDF I printed. 3. They take time to explain in Detail what something is or does....... 4. Tech support is local in California and usually picks up when you call. 5. You can't beat the touch screen just use you stylus to program the radio. 6. Can't beat the prices..... Espically with the price of Rx going up everywhere.
